THINGS TO KNOW
These are some frequently asked question our guests often have about traveling to our location and fishing with us at our lodge. Hopefully the details below will provide you with information to assist you in planning your trip. If you can’t find the answer to your question please feel free to call us and we will be happy to assist you.
HOW TO GET HERE
It is best to plan to arrive into Anchorage the Friday evening before your fishing trip starts, and to book your return flight out of Anchorage late night the Saturday your fishing trip ends. Once we have your itinerary in hand, we will make travel arrangements with an air taxi for your ride to and from Igiugig. You will pay your airfare for the air taxi direct – about $550/person RT, which includes 50lbs of gear.
Please Note: while we try to accommodate your travel plans best we can, the air taxi service is considered “non-scheduled” and flight times may change with little notice. This is why we recommend giving yourself plenty of time to catch your flight out of Anchorage.
AIR TAXI SERVICE
Airfare and travel expenses can be significant so we recommend obtaining travel insurance to make sure you are covered in the event of an unexpected change.
Igiugig Lodge offers quality fly rods, reels, all lines, leaders and flies for your use during your stay. We also provide breathable waders and boots in most sizes if needed. (Felt soled waders and boots are no longer legal in Alaska.)
FISHING LICENSE & KING STAMP
You will need a current Alaska fishing license for your trip. These can be purchased at many in-state locations over-the counter. However we suggest you get them online before you come, to avoid any last-minute problems!
DEPOSITS & RESERVATIONS
A 50% DEPOSIT of the trip cost will reserve your spot. The balance is due 90 days prior to your arrival. Accommodations for groups up to 6 guests, in double occupancy rooms available.
